About Me

My name is Sarah and I am an English and Global Studies major. When I began my college career I knew I wanted to study creative writing, but I’ve learned that one can not be a good writer without learning about others. I chose to focus on the Middle East because I knew next to nothing about it, and therefore it was the most unique, the most interesting, and the most gripping region to study. I am in awe of the colorful personalities, the incredible history, and the astounding intelligence that has come from the area, and I worry these characteristics have become lost due to the region’s current portrayal and ongoing conflicts.

I am terrified, excited, nervous, and happy to begin this great adventure.
